However, these tools are not intended to be used in times of crisis or when you need urgent medical treatment. If you are concerned about your mental health and need to talk with someone straight away, please look at the list below and reach out.

MIND
0300 111 6000 is the number to call to access any of MIND's services. (Counselling, employment support, eating recovery and much more available).
Samaritans
It's free to contact the Samaritans. Support available 24/7. You can also email jo@samaritans.org (it may take a few days to receive a response.
CALM
0800 58 58 58 5pm-midnight CALM's helpline is open 365 days a year, offering practical suggestions for all of life’s problems - whether that’s anxiety, relationship concerns, health worries, money worries or suicidal thoughts.
SHOUT
Shout is a free, confidential and 24/7 text messaging service for anyone in the UK who needs support.
If you are struggling to cope and need to talk, our trained Shout Volunteers are here for you. To start a conversation, text the word ‘Shout’ to 85258.
Papyrus
0800 068 41 41 HOPELINE247 is a confidential support and advice service for children and young people under the age of 35 who are experiencing thoughts of suicide, or anyone concerned that a young person could be thinking about suicide.
SANE
0300 304 7000 4pm-10pm SANEline is a national out-of-hours mental health helpline offering specialist emotional support, guidance and information to anyone affected by mental illness, including family, friends and carers.
No Panic
0300 772 9824 The No Panic Helpline operates between 10am and 10pm every day of the year.
During the night hours the crisis message is played. The crisis message is a recorded breathing exercise that can help you through a panic attack and help you learn diaphragmatic breathing. You can also access the crisis message 24hrs a day by calling 01952 680835
